The fifth Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region-Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said that this year marks the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

  Along the way, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has experienced many storms, especially in recent years, it has faced unprecedented difficulties.

  In the past two years, the central government has made decisive efforts to promulgate and implement the National Security Law of Hong Kong, and to improve the electoral system of Hong Kong, so as to provide double guarantees for the SAR, so that we can return to the correct track of "one country, two systems" and embark on a splendid new journey from governance to prosperity.
