Design standard requirements for floating oil seals

1. The basic dimensions of floating oil seals must (except for oil seal customization) comply with the nominal outer diameter, small end outer diameter and limit (tolerance) deviation of GB/T 1804-1992 Class F. The size tolerance can be M Level execution

2. The floating seal material can generally be high chromium alloy cast iron; the hardness of the working end face after heat treatment is HRC60-70, the depth of the hardened layer is 0.8-1.0mm; the metallographic structure is alloy carbide, etc.

3. Floating sealing surface with bright band A, and the flatness should meet the level 4 accuracy requirements of GB/T 1804-1992

4. Floating sealing surface with A, radial width e=(2.5±0.5)mm, must be uniform and continuous.

5. Sealing surface B, surface roughness (Ra) 0.40pm; sealing surface with bright band A, surface accuracy (Ra) 0.1pm.

6. The floating sealing surface bright belt A must not have defects such as scratches, fraying, pores, sand holes and micro cracks; there must be no bumps on the periphery.

7. The float must be used in pairs (that is, two pairs of use), and cannot be replaced separately.

8. The relative linear velocity V≤2m/s during normal floating operation; the specific pressure of the end face P=0.35-0.7MPa.
