The floating seal is extruded against rubber ring by collar and floating seal ring to form primary sealing, and then the mating of sealing face of two floating seal rings (by oil film lubrication to allow one ring moving and the other still) to form secondary sealing. Therefore, the rubber gasket and metal ring are equally important to floating seal, and correct and professional installation must be emphasized.
