1969: Human being landed on the moon for the first time by Apollo 11 on July 21. Apollo 11 was the fifth human spaceflight of the Apollo program, the third human voyage to the moon, and the first manned mission to land on the Moon. It launched on July 16, 1969 carrying Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin.Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the Moon.
