Floating oil seals are mainly used in construction machinery and working conditions with severe wear and tear, and cannot work under maximum pressure and maximum speed at the same time.
Under normal working conditions, the shaft oil seal is not under pressure. If the sealing material is 15Cr3Mo, the maximum withstand pressure is 0.3MPa, and the line speed is 3m/s (with lubricating oil); when 100Cr6 material is used, the maximum withstand pressure is 0.15MPa, and the line speed is 1m/s (with lubricating oil). The maximum pressure at rest is 0.5MPa, too high internal pressure will cause the sealing ring to shift.
