Floating oil seal leakage analysis

(1) Impurities and bumps on the sealing end surface of the floating seal ring are the main reasons for the oil leakage of the floating oil seal. Avoid bumps when installing the floating oil seal. Wipe the seal end surface with fine cotton yarn and apply a layer of grease evenly on it.

(2) Wear of the O-ring seal is another cause of oil leakage. When the floating oil seal is installed, no lubricant should be attached to the contact surface of the O-ring seal, the floating seal ring and the floating seal seat, otherwise it will cause relative sliding. Accelerate the abrasion of the O-ring seal; there should be no distortion and distortion when installing the O-ring seal.

(3) Wear of the sealing end face of the floating seal ring Normal wear of the sealing end face of the floating seal ring is inevitable, but too fast abrasion will shorten the service life of the oil seal.
