Make sure that there is no foreign material in the housing components that contact the rubber tear ring before installing the seal. You should do this using a lint-free wiping agent and non-petroleum solvent wipe clean. Remove debris from the rubber rings , ramps , and lip of the two seal rings.

Place the rubber toric on the metal seal ring at the bottom of the seal ring ramp and against the bottom of the seal ring ramp and against the, retaining lip.Make sure that the O-ring is straight on the rim and is not buckled or twisted. May lead to improper installation.
