The corrosion of a floating seal is generally understood to be the damage of a floating seal metal material under the action of a chemical or electrochemical environment. Since the phenomenon of radiation is mainly caused by the interaction between the metal and the surrounding environment, it is possible to isolate the metal and the surrounding environment as much as possible, or to use more non-metallic materials.

At the time of assembly, the cleaned parts are taken out to ensure the cleanliness of the workshop, or in the clean area of the temporary scaffolding. It is important to note that when installing a floating seal, the operator must pay attention to wear, clean overalls, unacceptable hair, hand gloves, and clean tools.

For floating seals that are not used in the short term, asbestos filler should be taken out to avoid electrochemical corrosion. The floating oil seal that has just entered the warehouse, first check if there is rain and dirt, and then wipe it clean before storing. After the slurry circulation pump is shut down, the pump inlet is opened to discharge the floating seal one by one, and the slurry accumulated in the discharge pipe is discharged. After the discharge is cleaned, the floating seal is rinsed with clean water for 20 minutes.
