Both the light-duty DO floating oil seal and the heavy-duty DF floating oil seal use rubber rings to provide axial pressure to the metal ring; both use the contact between the floating oil seal rings to generate static and kinetic energy seals.
Floating oil seals are widely used, and are usually used in occasions with slow speed and high requirements on lubrication reliability and service life. Light-duty DO floating seals are widely used in bulldozers, excavators, agricultural machinery, etc.; heavy-duty DF floating seals are used in coal mining machinery, heavy trucks, ships, etc.
