1. Before installing the floating oil seal, check whether the surface of the shaft journal is too rough, whether there are scars, especially whether there are long scars along the axial direction. If the surface of the journal is too rough, it is easy to damage the abrasion of the oil seal and destroy its sealing performance.

2. Check the floating oil seal lip for cracks, cracks, or oily corrosion. If there are any such unfavorable phenomena, replace the new oil seal.

3. Roll a layer of transparent hard plastic film (commonly known as cellophane) on the shaft neck and even the shaft head, and smear a little oil on the surface, put the oil seal into the shaft head covered with the plastic film, and evenly force the oil seal slowly Push to the journal, and then pull out the plastic film.

4. Avoid crooking the oil seal or banging it on the surface of the oil seal with hammers or other tools, otherwise it is easy to cause damage to the oil seal.
