The floating oil seal is suitable for the dynamic sealing of the upper end face of the walking parts of the construction machinery and the planetary speed reduction parts. It is generally composed of a floating seal ring made of iron alloy material and a supporting O-ring seal of nitrile rubber. Floating seal rings need to be used in pairs, one rotates with the rotating member and the other is relatively stationary.


The sealing principle of the floating oil seal is that the two floating seal rings are deformed after being compressed axially by the O-shaped seal ring to generate the compression force of the sealing end surface of the floating seal ring, and store the elastic energy. This elastic energy is gradually released, so that the sealing surface can maintain a good fit and play an axial compensation role. However, oil leakage will occur in actual use.
