1.According to the composition of the oil seal, it can be divided into two types: skeleton oil seal and non-skeleton oil seal, and floating oil seal belongs to the category of non-skeleton oil seal. Therefore, the biggest difference between the two is whether there is a skeleton. The skeleton is like a beam of a house, which plays the role of maintaining shape and increasing tension.

2.The design of the two is very different. There are two design forms of skeleton oil seals, one is divided into single lip and double lip skeleton oil seals according to the structure, and the other is divided into inner package, exposed and assembled skeleton oil seals according to the skeleton form. The structure of the floating oil seal is not so diverse, and its design is relatively simple and convenient.

3.The two main uses are different. Skeleton oil seals are mainly used for automobile engines, diesel engines, differentials, transmission vehicles, etc .; and floating oil seals are mainly suitable for low speed and heavy load occasions, such as the left and right drums of continuous coal shearers.
