(1) Precision casting type

This type of sealing ring is mostly made of high-chromium molybdenum alloy cast iron and is precision cast using paraffin shell molds. The hardness of the blank is (40-50) hrc, and the surface hardness of the finished product can reach (65-72) hrc. The roughness of the working surface is R, which ranges from 0.2 to 0.4um. Normally, the R value is 0.1. um, the service life can reach 4000~6000 hours. There are many manufacturing processes for this material, and many manufacturers use this method.

(2) Mechanical die-casting mold

This type of floating seal ring is made of alloy cast iron and is die-cast. The finished metallographic structure is relatively fine. However, the cost is slightly higher. The roughness R value of the working surface is 0.2-0.4um. The R value of the bright band is 0.09~0.15um. The service life is About 4000~6000h.

(3) Powder metallurgy hot satin type

This kind of sealing ring is mostly made of powder metallurgy through high-temperature hot forging. The working surface roughness R value is generally 0.4um, the finished product surface hardness (40~62) hrc, and the service life is about 2000~4000 hours.

(4) Thermal spray type.

The base body of the sealing ring is ordinary cast iron. It is thermally sprayed with 0.05~0.20mm high chromium molybdenum powder on the working surface and then grinded. The surface hardness reaches (55~65) hrc, and the service life can reach 4000~6000 hours. This type of process saves rare metals, but it is subject to equipment constraints, low productivity and high cost.
