The two ground surfaces are closely matched and slide relatively, on the one hand to ensure good operation, on the other hand, to effectively seal off external dust, water, sludge, etc., to protect the internal grease from leaking.

Floating oil seal seal ring is actually a combined structure of radial non-contact gap type and annular end-face contact type seal, which reduces the leakage gap of the seal to a small amount. When the rotor rotates at high speed, the medium is brought into the floating ring In the convergent wedge-shaped gap with the sealing shoulder, in a stable state, the floating oil seal sealing ring maintains a certain eccentricity with the rotor center, so that the pressure generated by the liquid film is balanced with the gravity of the floating ring and the frictional force of the end surface. The gap with the inner diameter of the floating ring is not large, so the thickness of the liquid film is generally only a few lm (smaller in low-viscosity media such as liquid oxygen). The pressure caused by the medium brought into the gap by the high-speed rotor forms a strong liquid film , It is not easy to be damaged, and prevents the medium from passing through the gap under the pressure difference, that is, it seals the medium.
