Common design structures of floating oil seals are DO type and DF type, as well as other special designs.

DO type floating oil seals are the most widely used. Driving wheels, guide wheels, rollers, chain support wheels, wheel wheels, reducers, screw conveyors and other rotating seals of various construction machinery walking mechanisms can be used. It consists of a pair of conical floating seal rings and a pair of O-rings, and is assembled in a floating seal seat with a conical surface in the inner cavity. When the floating oil seal is tightened, the compression amount of the O-ring changes according to the installation gap, and the contact specific pressure of the sealing surface of the floating seal ring also changes to adapt to the needs of different sealing environments.

DF type floating oil seal is designed for high-load equipment, and is often used in parts where various heavy mining equipment is prone to large vibration and shock, such as rocker arms, sprockets, reducers, etc. It consists of a pair of L-shaped float seal rings and a pair of rubber rings (rubber disc springs). The principle of assembly in the shape of the float seal seat is similar to the DO type. Since the deformation capacity of the rubber ring is larger than that of the molding ring, it can provide a larger floating range. In addition, the L-shaped floating seal seat is also easy to process, and the assembly of the DF floating oil seal is also more convenient.
